September 29, 2018 - 17th Place Finish in Race for Hope 74 at Batesville

Jake made the trip to the Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, Arkansas this past weekend for the Hope for 74, $20,000 to win IMCA Modified event. After a long week, Jake was one of the 28 drivers to qualify for the 74-lap main event, eventually finishing 17th out of the 28 starters in the feature.

September 26, 2018 - Jake O'Neil Crowned USMTS Rookie of the Year

Jake officially wrapped up the 2018 USMTS Grant Junghans Rookie of the Year and picked up the $5,000 payday that goes along with it after his 30th to 3rd run on Friday night at the Fall Jamboree this past weekend.

With 3 USMTS victories, including the $10,000 to win Grant Junghans Memorial, Jake rolled to a commanding point total in the ROY chase.

September 22, 2018 - Jake Improves 27 Spots in Friday's Feature at Deer Creek; Wins USMTS Rooke of the Year
1Jake was back in action with the United States Modified Touring Series this past weekend at the Deer Creek Speedway for the 20th running of the Fall Jamboree. Thursday night's show was rained out, so the action kicked off on Friday when Jake stormed from 8th to win his qualifying heat race before being disqualified at the scale. He then charged from 13th to 3rd in the b-main, securing a transfer spot into $6,000 to win main event. During the feature, Jake rolled off 30th and proved that he had one of the fastest cars on the track as he sliced and diced his way through traffic to come home with a very impressive third place finish when the 40-lapper was completed.

Saturday night, after being officially crowned as the 2018 Grant Junghans Rookie of the Year, Jake won his qualifying heat race from the pole and then rolled off from the 11th starting position during the 5-lap, $11,000 to win weekend finale. Jake worked his way into the top ten early and was battling for 7th mid way through the feature when a car in front of him broke and he had no where to go, ending his night early.

September 1, 2018 - O'Neil Follows USMTS Over Labor Day Weekend
1Jake was in action with the USMTS again this past weekend, which kicked off at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa for their rained out event from the week before. Jake won his heat from the outside of the front row before starting seventh and running third much of the race, only to suffer a flat tire on the last lap, forcing him to slip to a seventh place finish. Friday the team was in action at the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa, where he again won his heat race and then raced home with a sixth place finish in the main event. Saturday, the teams converged on the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN and Jake raced from 7th to 2nd in his heat before redrawing the 8th starting spot, only to have mechanical troubles knock him out of the race early. Sunday's event at the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Ia was rained out.
