July 25, 2020 - Jake O'Neil attends Silver Dollar Nationals weekend at I-80 Speedway
1Jake entered action three nights at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska this past week, with his first event being an unsanctioned event on Wednesday night. After a 7th place finish in his heat race, he raced from 5th to win the B-main and then charged from 18th up to finish 6th in the first 22-lap feature segment. He then restarted 19th in the second segment and rallied his way forward to finish a very impressive third when the checkered flag flew. 

1Friday and Saturday were USMTS events as past of Silver Dollar Nationals weekend. Friday night, Jake ran 5th in his heat race and raced from 16th up to 8th in the feature, while Saturday night he ran third in his heat, but fell out of the main event before the finish, ending his night early. (Todd Boyd photo)

July 15, 2020 - O'Neil tops Dakota Mod Tour at Williston, Finishes third in points
1 After a solid first three nights of the 31st annual Dakota Classic Mod Tour, Jake entered the final three nights of action on the tour and, although he had to work hard for it, he never finished outside of the top two in the three main events on the week. (Mike Spieker photo | Speedway Shots)

Monday night, at the Williston Basin Speedway in Williston, ND, he ran second in his heat race, which earned himself the 14th starting spot in the night's 30-lap main event. In the feature, he rolled his way forward to charge from the outside of the 7th row to the lead and put his #0 in victory lane!

1Tuesday, at the Southwest Speedway in Dickinson, ND, he ran fourth in his heat race, won the b-main and then again charged forward from his 16th starting spot to come home with a very solid second place finish for his efforts.

And Wednesday night, at the Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, ND, he won his heat race from 10th and then raced to his second runner up finish in a row during the main event.

All in all, the team had a great DCMT week with two wins, two runner up finishes, a fifth place run and one rough night.

July 12, 2020 - Jake O'Neil sweeps Dakota Mod Tour field at Jamestown
1 Jake was in action during the first three nights of the 31st annual Dakota Classic Mod Tour this past weekend, starting on Friday night at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND. After a 9th to 4th run in his heat race, Jake started 15th in the main and charged his way forward to a solid 5th place finish to kick off the tour. 

1Saturday night, the tour made their way to the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND and Jake raced to a clean sweep for his efforts. He won his heat race from 5th and then dominated the main event from the outside of the front row! (Fotos by Fizzle)

Sunday, at the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND, Jake ran fifth in his heat race and then earned a qualifying spot for the feature through the b-main, but did not start the feature.
