O'Neil Follows USMTS Over Labor Day Weekend

Jake was in action with the USMTS again this past weekend, which kicked off at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa for their rained out event from the week before. Jake won his heat from the outside of the front row before starting seventh and running third much of the race, only to suffer a flat tire on the last lap, forcing him to slip to a seventh place finish. Friday the team was in action at the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa, where he again won his heat race and then raced home with a sixth place finish in the main event. Saturday, the teams converged on the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN and Jake raced from 7th to 2nd in his heat before redrawing the 8th starting spot, only to have mechanical troubles knock him out of the race early. Sunday's event at the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Ia was rained out.
