Jake O'Neil Records Ninth Win of the Season at I-80 Speedway; Hustles to 6th Place Finish in Finale
We raced in the unsanctioned show with our IMCA car on Thursday night at I-80 Speedway and swept the night! We started 4th and won our heat and then started 6th in the feature and had a great battle with Josh Most, RC Whitwell, Jesse Sobbing for the lead and pulled off a last lap pass for the win!
On Friday night the car didn't see the track very long as we broke a transmission in hot laps, ending our night early, but the car turned out awesome and the design is for a great cause! Jake is running this design for a family member of our team who means a lot to us!
As you know, Jake broke a transmission in hot laps on Friday night, but thanks to the great work of our crew, we were back in action on Saturday night. We started 9th in our heat race and were able to race forward for a fifth place finish. We then started on the outside of the front row for the b-main a mnd won it convincingly, putting us 17th on the starting grid for the 40-lap, $8,000 to win main Silver Dollar Nationals main event.
We were able to charge forward to a sixth place finish when all was said and done.
Thanks again to our crew for the hard work in the 100* heat. And thanks to everyone else who helps with our program!
