Jake bags two-win USMTS weekend; Nick grabs third win at Tucson

Both Jake and Nick were in action this past weekend and both drivers raced to feature wins for their efforts! (To the Front Race Photos)

Nick, at the Tucson Speedway, in Tucson, AZ qualified first, won his heat race from third and then went on to complete the sweep of the night by racing from his third starting spot in the night's feature and picked up the feature win!

Jake competed in four USMTS races across three states over the week, racing to a pair of victories and a runner up finish for his efforts.

Wednesday, at the Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD he won his heat from the outside of the front row before racing from his 4th starting spot in the feature to the lead and to the $5,000 feature win.

Friday, at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN, he raced from 3rd to 2nd in his heat race before again starting 4th in the main and for the second consecutive event, racing to the top spot and running off with his second straight $5,000 payday.

Saturday at Ogilvie, he again ran second in his heat race and after starting 9th in the feature, looked as if he was going to be able to contend for his third straight win, but unfortunately a mechanical malfunction ended his night early.

Sunday, the team made the trip to the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, IA to conclude the weekend and Jake was able to win his heat race from second and then challenge for the lead during the feature event, eventually crossing the finish line with a second place finish.
