Jakes tops USMTS in Rapid Rumble at Rapid Speedway

Jake was in action at a trio of USMTS events over the past weekend and was able to snag a $10,000 payday on the opening night of the weekend to kick start the holiday weekend. (Tyler Rinken photo)

Friday night, at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, IA, Jake won his heat from the pole and then was able to race from his third starting spot in the main to the lead and run off with the $10,000 payday for his efforts.

Saturday, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN, he raced to a heat race victory from his 4th starting spot and then was able to race home with a top five finish, crossing the finish line in 5th after starting in 7th.

Sunday, at the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, IA, after running fifth in his heat and winning the b-main, he was able to advance from his 14th starting spot to cross the line with his second straight fifth place finish.
