Nick O'Neil captures thriller at Tucson Speedway
Nick was back behind the wheel of his #88N at the Tucson Speedway in Tucson, Az and came out on top of a wild three-car battle for the lead in the Modified feature race. To start the night, Nick qualified first overall, then ran second in his heat race before starting 9th in the feature and racing forward to battle with Brian Harrington Jr and Brice Bonnett for the lead and eventually racing by for the win. Jake was also in action, at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS for the USMTS King of America weekend.
Thursday night, Jake qualified second in his group, raced from 5th up to 3rd in his heat race before starting 10th in the night's feature and racing inside the top ten all event long, crossing the finish line with a 7th place finish.
After Friday night's rainout, Saturday, Jake was the third quickest in his group before racing from the outside of the 3rd row in his heat race to win it, setting himself up with a 6th starting spot in the night's 60-lap, $12,000 to win King of America finale. For the second straight night Jake raced inside the top ten all feature race long, picking up his second straight seventh place finish for his efforts when the checkered flag flew.
