Jake O'Neil wheels to third-place finish in Silver Jubilee at Mason City

Jake was in USMTS action at the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, IA over the weekend for the track's $25,000 to win USMTS anniversary weekend. On his qualifying night, Jake qualified third, then raced from 6th up to 2nd in his heat race and finished 7th in the night's feature race, good enough to earn himself a starting spot in Saturday night's 78-lap finale.

On Saturday night, he rolled off 8th and ran inside the top ten for the first half of the race until he pitted to change a tire and was forced to restart at the tail. From the tail, it was on, as he rallied from last to charge into the top ten, then into the top five and then work all the way up to third before the checkered flag flew on an impressive run through the field.
