Jake and Nick compete in USRA Fall Nationals at Vado Speedway Park

Both Jake and Nick hopped in USRA Modifieds over the weekend at the Fall Nationals at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM for the track's 3-ady, $20,000 to win event.

Friday night, both drivers finished third in their respective heat races before Nick started on the pole of the b-main and had some mechanical issues, which ended his night early. Jake started 15th in the feature, but also had mechanical issues ending his run.

Saturday's event was postponed until Sunday due to weather.

Sunday, Jake raced from 8th to 2nd in his heat and finished 2nd in the preliminary feature to earn a second row starting spot for the 50-lap, $20,0900 to win feature. Nick finished 4th in his heat, ran second in the b-main, but suffered issues in the feature, ending his night, and weekend early.

During Sunday's feature, Jake rolled off from the second row and raced inside the top five for the majority of the event, battling for second and third for much of the 50-lapper, only to suffer a driveshaft failure late in the run, ending his weekend early.
